About me

Hi I am Helen,
Copper Penni is my full-time gig, and I love it!
I have always knitted since I was little, I stopped for several years, but have found my way back. Growing up I had a magical childhood. My parents never sat idle, my mum made a lot of our clothing, she spun, knitted, experimented with dying wool and also wove, needless to say my wardrobe consisted of a menagerie of weird and wonderful creations.... Lucky it was the late 70's early 80's. Dad was also constantly creating as a mechanic, he lived in the shed inventing, building model steam trains, converting an old army truck into a noodling machine to fossick for Opals at Coober Pedy and as a hobby was a tug pilot for gliders on the weekends.....This is where I started my knitting journey, in the backseat of the family car driving to and from the 50 km drive to the airfield.
